You’ve slowly introduced the healthy food, it didn’t work. You’ve hidden it in their favorite treats but they always seem to find it before it even goes in their mouth. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I swear, if kids were as good at detecting gold as they were at finding the hidden food they “hate” we would all be rich by now!
But why is it that they always seem to enjoy eating the stuff they aren’t supposed to eat?! Raise your hand if you’ve had countless moments when you’re heart literally stopped beating for a few seconds because your kid ate something they saw on the floor, on the street and anything that was reachable they weren’t supposed to eat. I mean come on! Anything that falls on the floor become easy prey, but heaven forbid you hand them a tiny peace of broccoli and you’d think they were being fed poison! If it wasn’t so gross I would probably drop that broccoli on the floor and see if they would actually eat it (any similar thoughts from desperate parents out there?).
